I Can't Believe it's August!!!

Sorry I've been MIA... we have been flat out the last few weeks! Football Season starts August 1st here in "Viking Village" and I am just now coming up for a breath of air! For those who don't know, Dave and I run the Youth Football league in our town and have over 250 kids in the program! It is non stop the first few weeks with equipment fittings, and getting the league up and running for the season! Not to mention I am President of the High School Booster Club and practice at the High School started yesterday.

David is away at camp, he left a week ago and comes home this Saturday! 2 whole weeks respite has been wonderful! David has been increasingly difficult lately and this was a much needed break for all of us.
Dave and I have been looking at options for schools for David for next year as David will be going to High School and we are of the feeling that our local High School will not be an appropriate fit for him. It is a difficult decision to make, but one that will hopefully help David to have a better school experience.
He has been loving camp, I have talked to him a few times and he doesn't sound like he misses me much... however I did get this e-mail from him yesterday... it made me smile.

We go to pick him up on Saturday Morning... and this may sound terrible, but it's been such a nice break from his behaviors that part of me wishes that camp was another week long so he could come home and go right to school!
